Areas of Focus
Mantantzi’s areas of focus include anxiety and depression therapy, trauma counselling, grief support, relationship difficulties, family conflict, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioural concerns, and adjustment difficulties. She works with adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups who may be feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or caught in recurring patterns that affect their wellbeing, relationships, school, work, or daily functioning.

She also offers support for clients experiencing personality-related difficulties, psychotic disorders, ADHD, autism, and other neurodevelopmental or complex mental health concerns. Her work includes both therapeutic support and psychological assessment, allowing her to help clients better understand their difficulties and identify appropriate pathways for treatment, coping, and long-term emotional wellbeing.

My Therapeutic Approach

Mantantzi’s therapeutic approach is compassionate, collaborative, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based. She integrates approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy-informed interventions (DBT) to support clients with emotional, relational, behavioural, and mental health difficulties. Her work is tailored to each client’s needs, with attention to both immediate symptom relief and longer-term psychological growth.

In therapy, Mantantzi aims to create a safe and respectful space where clients can feel heard, understood, and supported. Her approach may include developing practical coping skills, improving emotional regulation, strengthening relationships, and exploring deeper patterns that influence how a person experiences themselves, others, and the world. She works with clients in a way that supports emotional wellbeing, resilience, self-understanding, and meaningful change.

Professional Experience & Background
Mantantzi is a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). She has experience across a range of clinical and institutional settings. Her professional background includes work in public healthcare, correctional mental health services, and psychiatric hospital settings, including Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital.

Her clinical experience has supported her work with diverse psychological presentations, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, behavioural concerns, neurodevelopmental differences, personality-related difficulties, and complex psychiatric conditions. In addition to psychotherapy, she provides psychological assessments, diagnostic evaluations, behavioural interventions, group therapy, couples therapy, family support, and mental wellness workshops for institutions.

She currently offers in-person therapy in Lynnwood Glen, Pretoria East, as well as online psychotherapy across South Africa.
