Individual Therapy
Psychologists offering inclusive short- and long-term therapy for adults in Pretoria or online.
Service Description
We offer individual therapy for adults seeking meaningful and lasting change. Our experienced psychologists provide both short- and long-term psychotherapy, tailored to your unique needs and circumstances. Whether you're navigating a life transition, processing trauma, or seeking deeper self-understanding, we offer a space for thoughtful, relational healing. Our therapeutic approach is grounded in psychodynamic and depth-oriented psychotherapy. This means we explore the underlying patterns, relational dynamics, and emotional experiences that shape your current life. We believe that insight, when held with compassion, can be transformative. Therapy can help you make sense of longstanding struggles, shift entrenched patterns, and foster a more integrated sense of self. We are committed to trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and neurodiversity-affirming care. Our practice honors the complexity of each person’s lived experience, including the ways that identity, culture, and systemic forces intersect with mental health. We work with adults across the lifespan and welcome clients from all backgrounds. Our team shares a deep commitment to social justice and relational ethics. While each clinician brings their own voice and expertise, we are united by a belief that healing happens in relationship - when people feel seen, heard, and respected in all their complexity. We offer therapy in both English and Afrikaans, in-person at our Pretoria practice or online. Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, depression, or other psychological and psychiatric conditions, as well as experiences of grief, identity exploration, or personal growth, we’re here to walk alongside you. Our Therapy Structure: 1. Trial Therapy (Assessment Phase) The initial 1–4 sessions focus on assessing your needs, goals, and any diagnostic considerations. This phase allows us to determine if our therapeutic approach aligns with your needs. 2. Intervention Phase The number of sessions varies based on your personal goals and challenges. We don’t recommend committing to a set number upfront, as each therapeutic journey unfolds uniquely. We’ll discuss session frequency together, and you’re free to end therapy at any time. 3. Termination Phase The final 1–4 sessions focus on consolidating progress, developing strategies to maintain therapeutic gains, and reducing the risk of relapse or recurrence.
